so we watched A Doll's House yesterday.
How was your assumption of the actor compare to the real actors and actresses?
Did you guess close enough?
Which actor or actress was your favorite?

Before I watched the play, I thought Dr. Rank was an immoral person by confessing to Nora that he loves her. But by watching the play, I realized he just wanted her to know before he died. He didn't make a big deal out of his confession; he kept it a secret from Helmer. And my favorite character is Mrs. Linde because she seems like the least corrupted person out of all of the main characters. Even till the end, Mrs. Linde informs Nora to just tell Helmer the truth about her crime.

Well, i know that many people will say Dr. Rank is their favorite. I even saw someone taking picture of him which was little embarrassing. Anyway my favorite character is Nora. She was not that bad in the play. I liked how her personality shifted by going through one of the hardest thing one individual can experience. I think she dealt with her personal problems well which lead her to acknowledge her own identity by leaving her husband. Actress's performance was outstanding as well.

I liked Krogstad. I simply thought that his Irish accent (I think) fit in so well with the character. In that play with the variety of english accents, there were some points where the accents kinda threw off the people, but he made that Irish accent work into Krogstad. It was simply amazing. Like the rhythmm of his accent just fell perfectly with the role.

I really liked Mrs Linde. I think she's a great representation of women who made something out of themselves. She sacrificed everything for her family and in return got nothing back. But it seems like she is rewarded in the end with the love of her life and a better life.

I think that my assumption for Nora seemed to be quite close enough. Just like I had expected her to be, Nora seemed quite childish. However, Torvald seemed older than I had expected him to be. Other than that, all the other characters were just like I had expected them to be. My favorite character was actually Nora and my decision changed after watching the whole play. I liked how brave enough she was to commit a fraud against others just to save her husband. She probably knew that her reputation would go down if she gets caught, but she decided to save him first and then think of what to do next.

My assumption of Krogstad was wrong. I thought he was so corrupted, immoral person as Torvald has been accused. But as I watched the play, I rather thought that Torvald was kinda corrupted as well, thinking about only himself, or his reputation. And I thought Krogstad was an earnest lover; though he tried to blackmail Nora in the beginning, he regretted and returned the document to Nora at the end. So watching the play with real acting, I could see their real characteristics better.

my favorite is Nora. I thought she was going to be always submissive and have no life forever, but in the end of the play, she stands against her husband and say what she wants to say. Maybe her character might not conform to the Norwegian society during 19th century. But i don't like her flirting with dr. rank..and her being like a child.

My favorite character is Nora. I thought that Nora was going to be a very bad women as i read about her in the story, but it was wrong. I liked her action as a character and the way she was presented in the play was very good to me. As i wachted the play, i get to understand her situation. I understood that her situation to save her husband was tough and i respect her decison. It was good that she left her husband for new life

My favorite character would be Dr. Rank because he has a poker face which i find it interesting. To me it is hard to make a poker face because i tend to laugh easily and couldn't control myself. I would take as my favorite character from the play.

I really like Mrs.Linde and Nora, wow they were the bombs. but my favorite actress is Nora. Its not because she was pretty or something like that, she did a really good job during the play. Its hard to talk and making a an expression like she did and memorizing the script that last for more than an hour without mumbling. #respect

Everyone in the play acted very well...my favorite was Nora because it was fun to see how her facial expression changed every time. Like a lifeless doll, Nora was usually smiling and childish whenever her husband was looking at her. However, when her husband was absent, she showed all kinds of emotions like anxiety and anger. When I was reading the play, I actually thought Nora was always carefree...after watching the play, I felt like Nora was being her real self only when Torvald was not with her.

I really like the actress who played Nora. She was very good at acting and she had no problems in acting out the shift in Nora's personality (from cute to independent and strong) during the last act. Most of my assumptions of how the actors and actresses played the character were close except the part with the macaroons. I expected that the macaroons would play much bigger role than in the performance. But overall, the performance was good and the actors and actress did a very good job.

My favorite character was Nora. I really like how Nora tries to protect her family throughout the play. I also liked how Nora never betrayed her husband and always was on her husband's side. Furthermore, I really liked Nora's facial expressions in the play, especially when she was with her husband. Also I like the actress who played Nora, because she was entertaining and was good at delivering her lines.

I didn't watch the play, but my favorite character when I read the play was Krogstad. He was portrayed as the bad guy in the beginning but that's just because of Torvald's prejudice. Plus, Torvald's worse than Krogstad in every aspect. Anyways, I felt bad for Krogstad because he seemed like a nice guy who didn't have any choice but to blackmail someone to survive. I don't think he would've done the same things if people like Dr. Rank and Torvald just gave him the benefit of the doubt and didn't have prejudiced thoughts towards him. And it was cute how he was totally convinced by Mrs. Linde just because she said that they would get back together after the thing settled. My least favorite characters are Nora and Torvald just because I got sick of both of them by the end of the play.
