Ophelia's love for Hamlet seems more like that wishy-washy teenager thing where a guy and a girl just feel a mutual attraction. The actions she does seems more of one of a troubled teen then a level-headed mature person. And, I do find Ophelia a little bit annoying.

Ophelia seemed to be a kind of young girl who is very dependent on her dad and her brother, listens to whatever they say and take in the advice they give. She listens to them well and doesn't disobey. So no matter hwe relationship with Hamlet is close or not, when her dad tells her not to hang out with Hamlet, she would ignore him. Again, its like this teenage stuffs anyway so we cant really say ophelia doesnt have hamlet that much becuase we are still under the control of our parents and just becuase we listens to our parents, that doesnt make you not be in love with someone
