I think committing suicide while you were mentally ill is not a sin. Like you said Sarah, committing suicide requires people to think more deeply but sometimes, people really do not have stable mindset to think twice. I have seen a lot of "insane" people and most of them did not even know what they were doing. Therefore, it is possible that those mentally ill people killing themselves without knowing what they're doing. Committing suicide is a huge sin because a person is giving up on his life which God has provided, but if the mentally unstable person killed herself, she probably would not have known what she was doing so that means that she didn't truly give up on her life which means it's not sin.

Even the crazy person would not kill himself when theyre insane. When someone is insane, he still looks for food and i thought that a person whose insane would not killed himself because he knows what theyre doing. And i think it still counts as a sin because of the reason why he is insane, if he was insane because of alcohol or getting arrested by doing something wrong, then its a sin. But im not a God...

Personally I do not believe in god, so I don't think it is a sin to god. Rather I think it is a sin to the people around you. I don't promote committing suicide but I do see it as an ultimate way out of your situation. I do understand why people would commit suicide.

I think suicide is a stupid decisiom to make. No offense to anyone who has attempted suicide, but seriously...I personally believe that each and every one of us were brought on this earth for a reason. I believe that in everyones lives, there are obstacles placed purposely. I think that suicide shouldnt even cross someones mind because youre special and you have purpose on this earth. This probably sounds super cheesy but commiting suicide is not even the last resort. I just think people think twice, thrice, four times even a hundrend thousand million times before they feel they need to commit suicide. Because i know that by the second thought, youll know it is a stupid decision.

Yes, in Christianity, suicide is considered as a huge sin. But, I think that suicide, regardless of religion, is something that should not be done. Suicide is selfish. It's an easy way out that hurts everyone around you. Also, if one really thinks that ending their life is the solution, they aren't looking hard enough for an actual solution.

It is a hard question because as other people said, it depends on the situation. In Christianity, suicide is considered as a sin because one's life is given by God and should be cherished. Killing it is arrogant, since God is supposed to decide about life and death. So if the insane person knew what he or she was doing, then it is a sin. If the insane person could not think very well and did not know what he or she was doing, then it cannot be considered as sin. At the same time, it seems like we really cannot decide if the insane person committed sin or not since we do know what he was thinking.

Personally, I think it is still a sin if you commit suicide when you're insane. However, it's more complicated when you think about the situation with someone being insane. If someone, like Ophelia, is gone mad and out of control of his or herself then im not so sure in you can call that as sin. When a person cannot fully take a control of themselves, they cannot even think for themselves and think properly.
