i forgot name of the poem but i remeber it was about our goal in life
when we translated words poem,
it sounded like trim you dream, limit your goal and do wht you can do
what do you think of this?
do you think the author meant it to tell us that dreaming is not safe?

in my opinion what i thought of his pome is different
every single person wants to do something in their life and enjoy doing what they like to do right?
i thought the poet is saying that dream of wha you can do with your enjoyment and set a high goal that you can achieve!!

The poem's title is "Seize the Day." Anyways, I think this quote means that you should not try to do something you can never achieve like becoming a vampire. But you should have goals or dreams that are attainable and realistic. For example, becoming a psychologist is attainable and realistic for me because I plan to major in psychology in college.

I think the quote means that dream what you can or available than dreaming thing that you can't achieve which will give you worse consequences losing hope. I agree that one should decide their dreams or goals with their thoughts that are achievable. If one can't achieve one that really wanted and living for that goal, one will lose all of the hope and have no purpose to live and kill oneself. Therefore, one should have a appropriate goals or dreams.

I agree with Gina. I remember Ms Boyd gave us an example of flying, which will never be able to achieve regardless of our efforts. I think we should still have dreams that will help us to grow and make us a better person within dreams.

I don't think that the poet meant for you to limit your dream. I think he meant that you should set goals that are possible. It can be big or small just not something like flying or something else completely ridiculous. Also, I think he meant to enjoy the day and the environment given to you and not just live looking forward.

Seize the day? I guess some of the story in this poem is true and we should follow it. Reaching toward your goal is good and there is not doubt about it. but sometimes, dream does not always come true and we must face the truth. This is really sad part of life so why not enjoy life?

I think what the author was trying to say was that a person can get hurt if he or she dreams too big and fails. Therefore I think he was trying to tell us that doing all you can in the given situation is what is best for you and it will not hurt you.

I think the author was trying to tell us not to think about when you are going to die but enjoy each day of your life.

I think it just means be realistic. Don't just be a dreamer but also be a planner and realize what can and cannot be achieved. It doesn't mean be pessimistic. It just means don't be an idealist and end up wasting your time on something that's impossible.

I think you're talking about "Seize the Day" haha. I think it is mainly saying that we shouldn't worry about when we're going to die. Rather, we should enjoy every moment of our life, without worrying about what's going to happen in the future. However, that doesn't mean you can be a 'dreamer' but you should be realistic at the same time.

i think he isnt trying to say that dreams are not safe. its just that you can dream about the impossible but also realized that the reality and facts that you can achieve similar to your dreams. or maybe you can adjust your goals to fit your dream but it would also depends on it.

He is saying that you should not dream too big. You know what else is really big? My head. I personally didn't think so until I came to Korea... But I think the author is also saying that big heads mean big dreams. I like to trim my hair once in a while, but I'm not sure if that's what the author meant. I'm having tuna right now and it tastes funky.

I agree with everyone here. The author is telling us not to have impossible dreams that are impossible to achieve. If you spend all your time trying to turn into a frog or something impossible, you're going to waste you r time when you can do some other cool things like skydiving and stuff.
