I think that Agamemnon wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary when he stole Achilles' war prize, because that's what kings could do. However, I don't think that he was being a wise and good leader. He didn't make the decision that would gain the loyalty and respect from his followers, but instead decided to act on his rage and steal from his underlings. So, Agamemnon had the right to take everything he wanted, but he didn't make a good decision.

I guess it was a thing for a King to snatch properties that did not belong to him back then. And the position Achilles was in, he should have simply obeyed his master. His duty was to grab and loot for his king during war. But in this case, Achilles portrait an example of how the society and the government is nowadays. The government just does not barge into its peoples lives and intrude them. But for Agamemnon, he had the rights as a king of the Mycenaean.

I think that agamemenon could do what he did cuz he was a king but it was kind of unfair for achilles because agamemon was being pretty mean about it.
