Achilles and Hector

I prefer Achilles than Hector. Hector is shown as a man who fights for his country and family. On the other hand, Achilles was shown as a man who fought with revenge. However, from Agamemnon, I think Achilles was also a man who fought for someone and his country. In addition, Achilles is one of the strongest soldiers and thinks he is stronger than Hector, so I prefer Achilles

I like Hector more than Achilles because Hector seems to be more mature and responsible. Hector, even if he knew that he would be killed by Achilles, he still went to the battlefield to protect his country. Compared to Hector, Achilles seems to have a bad temper.. He is very disrespectful to other people and he is so emotional that you never know what's going to happen in the end. Even if Achilles is much stronger than Hector, I prefer Hector who seems to have a better personality.

I prefer Hector since he does not seem to fear death. Death is actually a big thing but, Achilles seems to be fearing death too much. He only seems to care about seeking revenging on people that once betrayed him. Hector on the other hand, seems to be cool about all those stuff but instead would do anything for his own country or family.

I will go for being Achilles but i would not have killed Hector at all. Achillies is stronger then Hector and we know it so i would not kill hector if i was achillies.

I would prefer achillies because he seems to be brave and want to win the war. I dont want to be hector because he eventually runs away from achillies and does not want to die. And he also begs for his life in front of achillies

Hector's my favorite. Even though he was a prince and a mere mortal, he loved his country, his family and accepted the fact that he will die in this battle but kept on fighting to defend his home. On the other hand, Achilles wanted to avenge his cousins death, which Hector had no intention or personal vendetta against him. This was war, not a game. But what could be done, both of their fate was to die in this battle no matter which side wins. This characteristic trait of hector reminds me of the film Glory where the Colonel,Robert G. Shaw knew he would not make it back but instead sacrificed his life in order to gain freedom.

After reading the whole series of stories, I like Hector more than Achilles. In fact, I don't think that I like Achilles that much because he killed Hector and treated his dead body like crap. Although Hector begged at the end for an honorable death, he was honorable and brave for fighting for his family and sacrificing his life for his country. Achilles, on the other hand, was just bent on anger and desire for revenge and glory during his fights. Achilles forces women to be with him, but Hector has a nice family. Hector fights to protect, but Achilles fights because of his greed. I don't know for sure, but I think the author of the stories tried to make us hate Achilles and like Hector.

I prefer Hector because he's like the perfect guy, I think. Yeah, he isnt the strongest soldier in the war, but what do you expect? Hes's a human. The only reason Achilles is good is because he is half god. I prefer Hector because unlike Achilles, hes very humble. I thinj Achilles is too arrogant and selfish. Also, I like how Hector is a family man. I love how he is able to be full out husband and dad at home and full out soldier in the battlefield.

Hector is a nice guy. Hector accepts his fate and fights for his country and famliy. However, Achilles is the strongest guy and in the babble field, thats all it matters. you either lose or win and the strongest guy comes to the top. so i really like hector but i would say i want to be achillies.
