I think what torments Hamlet the most is the fact that he is powerless and is too weak to do anything due to his depressed state. I believe this agony is really what made Hamlet have his "skin melt" as his mind was mired in a deep state of depression.

I think this quote really emphicizes the fact that his life is miserable. He wants his flesh to melt..come on..when reading this, i pittied him because how miserable would yoi be! i mean, if you think about it, everyone, including your mom has betrayed you. How then would you feel? i would feel the same way as him! i would have feelings of commiting suicide because i would feel like everyone would be better off without me and my life would just be better to end then and there.

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MONOLOGUE OUT OF THE WHOLE PLAY!! This was when hamlet was all angry, hating the world and screaming because of the death of his father and remarriage of his mom and his uncle. its really intense and i like how hamlet word it. it clearly shows his emotion and what he thinks about the situation.

This quote is one of the very famous quote of Hamlet. As we saw during our monologue presentations, it is all about Hamlet saying that he wants to kill himself. It explains Hamlet's unstable mental state since his father just passed away and his mother just married his uncle. It is little too intense to see because we all know that Hamlet is a teenager. I can also predict that teenagers in that era were very emotional.
