we finished our hamlet trial finally!! Honestly in my opinion hamlet should be put into jail. he is a murderer!! i was a "ghost, hamlet's father' in a defence team. and we won! i really think hamlet killed polonius not to protect his mother but his plan of revenge what do you guys think? do you really think hamlet should be a freeman or put into jail?

I think hamlet should put into a jail too. His murder was totally intentional except that he did not know it was polonius. He thought the person behind the curtain was Claudius (one of the witnesses said that claudius is the only one who is allowed to go into Gertrude's room) and mistakenly stabbed polonius. so polonius died. He hated his mom and so protecting her would not be his great concern.

I totally agree with kevin. His murder of Polonius was truly intentional because he was trying to kill Claudius anyways. But unfortunately it ended up being Polonius. And obviously, he was not in danger before he sworded, thus it was not a self-denfense either.

I think Hamlet should have been put to jail. He really wasn't threatened by Polonius, and even after he killed him, he didn't look like he felt guilty about it. It's really obvious that he killed Polonius as a spur-of-the-moment thing.

I also think that Hamlet should have been put to jail. First of all, he could not be threatened by Polonius because all Polonius said was "Help! Help!". Anyone who heard that wouldn't think of it as a threat. Also, Hamlet was already full of eager to kill Claudius. He thought Claudius was in Gertrude's room so he killed Polonius because he thought it was Claudius.

Of course he should be put in jail! He KILLED a person. Not only that, but he felt no remorse for it, seeing that he never apologized and just called Polonius an eavesdropping rat. He should definitely be put in jail.

I think that Hamlet should have gone to jail. He killed Polonius on purpose because he thought it was Claudius. It was not for self-defense. Even after he found out that the person killed was not Claudius, he did not feel guity for killing Polonius. Hamlet thought that Polonius deserved to die because of his sneaky actions. Thus, I think that human beings do not have the right to judge who deserves to die or not.

I was in defense team, but I personally believe that Hamlet should be put into a jail. Even though we said he killed Polonius as self-defense, it could not be self-defense since Polonius was only calling for help. I do not think Hamlet meant to kill Claudius because he did not kill him in the previous scene, but Hamlet should not have put his sword through the curtain so rashly. He tried to kill anyone who was behind the curtain, listening to his conversation with his mother. He also did not look sorry for killing him.

As a defense team I should think that he should be freed from jail but he should be sent to jail because he used his swords to kill Polonius. He should not be using the swords very easily because it is dangerous and he just used it to kill Polonius not knowing what was the sound. Also, he was trying to kill Claudius, therefore, he should be sent to jail for killing Polonius.

I think Hamlet should have been sent to jail and be sentence for many many years. I understand that he is always melancholy and has his mood swings and hates the world because everything sucks for him. But that doesn't mean he can just kill someone who he thinks is annoying. I mean, it wasn't even like for self-defense. It was more spontaneous and on top of that he didn't even feel bad for Polonius or even recognize his wrongdoing. He really should be sent to jail for the murder of Polonius.

i was a judge, and i though that hamlet was found not guilty, Hamlet did try to protect himself and his mother, even though he want to kill polonius, he would not know who was behind the curtain and it is hard for us to know that he killed polonius on purpouse

I think Hamlet should go to jail. Even though he thought that the person behind the curtains was someone different, he still did kill a person. I think killing should not be justified in any situation. If somebody kills someone, they should go to jail even if they thought it was someone different.

Although I was on the defense team during Hamlet's trial, I think that Hamlet should be put into jail. Whether he knew whether the person behind the curtain was Claudius or not, he stabbed at the curtain with the intention to kill someone. Also, after the murder, Hamlet felt no remorse or regret for his actions and instead condemned Polonius for being too nosy. In my opinion, if you killed someone and you don't regret it, then that's intentional murder.

I think that hamlet should be put into jail and be sentenced for many years. Not only did he kill an innocent person, Polonius, but also he did not show remorse for that murder and even believes that he has the power and the judgment to decide whether that person can live or not. He thinks that God/Heaven gave him the right to do it. And I also think that it is obvious that Hamlet killed Polonius because he thought that it was Claudius.

According to the law, he should be put into jail. However, his intentions weren't to kill "Polonious" exactly. If i would be the judge, i don't think i would put him into jail for something he never intended to do.
