"Singapore's Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority has recalled 11 types of tapioca starch balls made in Taiwan that are used in popular 'bubble teas', after they were found to contain maleic acid. The food safety regulator withdrew the products after discovering they contained the additive, which is not approved in the country. Consuming high levels of maleic acid can cause kidney damage."
I love bubble tea so reading this article made me scared.. We might get addicted to drinking bubble tea guysss..
Do you guys like bubble tea? And will you keep drinking it even though you read this?

I tried bubble tea two or three times. I don't love it but I thought that I would drink it sometimes. After reading this, I feel like I won't drink it anymore. I see new bubble tea stores in Korea because it in becoming popular. I think they might start to fail.

I like bubble tea. And I will probably still drink it. Just like I still eat McDonalds and eat chicken nuggets even though I know how terrible they are for me.

I'm obsessed with bubble tea. I can't believe there can be maleic acid in there... I'm kind of scared to drink it now because I feel like I can really get addicted to bubble tea. This sucks.

I think some of my friends are already addicted to bubble tea (sarah and julie). They should watch out for maleic acid.

I actually really like bubble tea because it taste so good. I usually get it in many different hot places. I think bubble tea is like a trend in 21st century. Why do people like bubble tea? I think people will not really care even though some say that there are many different problems in that bubble. If it is good, people become ignorant and believe what they want to believe.

Oh yeahhhhh! They are delicious. In my country, instead of calling it the Bubble tea, we just call it an ordinary smoothie. I really didn't know that it contains maleic acid but then you just can't stop loving it. At least, you are alive. Oh, I really miss them so much.

I love bubble tea! It is one of my favorite drinks. I have been drinking bubble tea ever since I was in sixth grade. However, I heard similar news on the radio a few days ago. A popular bubble tea producer in Korea called "Bubble Pong" is going under investigation for containing maleic acid in their tapiocas. When I heard this, I worried about my health because I drank many cups of bubble tea from "Bubble Pong." So I will not be drinking bubble tea anymore.

I've only had bubble tea about 2 times. The first time I hated it. I thought it was really weird and I didn't like the texture of the tapioca. But the second time I really really liked it and I was snatching it away from my friend every half a second to have a sip. It's a shame that they found dangerous substances but I never drink it anyways so I don't care.
