Our Ap Econ class went to the zoo today!!!!!!!!! YAYAYAY... But as soon as I saw the animals,I felt really bad :/ Most of them looked dead and were hardly moving. The cages were too small for the animals, and they were so dirty and fake. I even thought that it would've been better if the park didn't have a zoo at all. People may argue that zoos are good for educational reasons, but I would rather look at animals through tv being happy in their natural habitat than having them right in front of me looking all sad and depressed..
Have you ever visited the zoo that we went today? And what did you think of the environment and the animals living there~?

I also have visited there, and I thought it was too poor condition for both animals and visitors. As you said, the cages are so dirty and small, so the whole zoo smells bad. So I think it would be so bad for those animals living there.

Yeah I also think that the animals are suffering in the zoo. They have to live in the same environment all the time and it gets really hot during the summer. I would be stressful when people are trying to look at me and take pictures of me all the time. If I'm an animal its best to live in jungle or where ever I beling to! Life would suck living in a cage!

Yap, I went there as well. I've seen the same thing as you did Storm. Well, most of them were asleep maybe because of the heat, it was hot during the time we visited. Personally I don't like animals and I don't have a say in this. But all I could say is that the zoo was unclean and it smelled horrible. I felt like puking while observing those poor creatures. One thing that i found funny was that the Art students from Korean public schools were painting animals from the pictures given in the information section.

I LOVE ZOO!! it was 2 years ago, i went to the zoo next to out school with my korean class and i super super loved it. but i do agree that the condition and the environment in the zoo is really bad. i think its because its a free zoo and they dont have enough money?? i dont know. but i really wish that those animals would get a better home

Yes!!! Zoos are vital for education, enabling people to see beautiful wild animals that they would never otherwise get to see, and teaching them about the threats to their species, which hopefully encourages them to respect and protect animals.

yes the zoo is indeed a interesting place and i really appriciate them because there are some strange animals out there that i have never seen before which tells me that the world is full of unknown possibilities.

Ive never visited the zoo in children's grand park but ive visited many others in korea. I personally did not enjoy it when i was actually there, but after i started liking animals, and finally got two dogs, i started liking going to the zoo as well.

I'd feel and do the same as the animals. They are practically encompassed by strange species that they'd never see in their lives and they are caged inside a limited space. I mean it's obviously boring and depressing if you think about it. Animals are born to run around in the wild, be consistently worried about their lives and how they are gonna have dinner and sometimes feed their burdensome babies. Yet, they are caged inside a artificial area and are fed every time they need it. So they are bound to be lazy and hate life.

I was there with you!! When I saw the poor animals, they seemed literally miserable. Like, if I could talk animal, I would be able to hear them say, "Oh my Lord. Why me?" I felt so bad for them and I even thought how I would feel if I were to be trapped in a small cage for the rest of my life as well and it was such a depressing thought. We as students feel so bored and depressed with just 50 minutes of being in a classroom, but imagine your whole lifetime with maybe just one other person! bleghh
