so in class, you know how we discussed about adam and eve being kicked out of eden?...well the thing is after they were kicked out of eden they had to work hard to gain everything they wanted and needed to live. if they wouldve stayed in eden and wouldnt have eaten the apple from the temptation of the serpent, theirs lives wouldnt have been as hard. now my question is obviously sometimes in life we want to find the easy way of getting things but dont you think that by doing something the hard way we sometimes learn better? in my opinion, i think the easy way is sometimes more comfortable and stuff but honestly i feel that getting something the hard way could sometimes help me and make me have more experience through it.

obviously, people prefer to take the short cut for most of the things because it's easier and less time takng. however, I think everthing you do has some knd of meanings. By not takng the short cut, it might harder and time takng, as a reslt you mght gain somethng useful. Easy example would be that if you choose to take the easy way by copying your friends work in math class, you might be able to get the work done easily and fast. But, because just copied others work you might not actually know how to solve the questions. Then, you will fail your test and as a result, you didn't gain anything.

eh, it really depends on the situation. Sometimes taking the shortcut is better and really sometimes the consequences aren't even worth thinking about so you just do it. Other times the situation is different and there might be more things to be worried about so ultimately I think it depends not he issue.

That is definitely what I think.... why would they eat them..... they could just live peacfully in the garden of Eden. I would have just relax and did nothing about it. I really don't like any punishment and whatever the punishment is, it don't usually ignore the rules.... And since god gave promise of living happy lives, I would just relax all day.

Yea... I agree with you that we learn better in the harder way. A simple example would be, when there are tests or projects, most of us do not start right away because the deadline seems so far away and starts to do it just the day before or two. When you cram it in the day before or two, it is really hard as most of us experienced and start to think that tasks are much more harder than you think it was. By experiencing cramming and not getting a good result for your work, we learn a life lesson that we should manage ourselves rather than discursively working to get the work done just the day before it is due.

I agree that people ¡°sometimes¡± learn by adversity events and their experience from it as it defines who they are. It is sometimes better than just taking easy ways because it depends on the situation. People can experience hard times and success very rarely. When they succeed, it is a good thing and they might learn something from it. However, as it is hard times, there are a lot of possibilities that they might fail. Fail might make people to get depressed while there might have people who stood up for it. Therefore, I think it depends on the situation where one should take easy or difficult ways.

I totally agree with you. Everybody now goes through so much stress in their lives now that to us, we would all love to have that perfect world. However, if you really think about it, if we had everything, we would all just be spoiled brats that dont understand the importance and the value each and everything we have. Also, like you said, we learn from our mistakes. Another side of me thinks though. If we were living in a time where Adam and Eve didnt commit their first sin, then we would all be innocent babies basically, not knowing from right or wrong. Wouldnt that be so good? There are no worries or responsibilities or anything! God just loves us and provides for us all the things we need. And then, since we live in such a perfect world, there would be no faults. I dont know, stuff like this gets me thinking.

We cannot gain anything big without risking something big. This means that in order for us to learn, we should go through harder ways and by going through the hard ways and experiencing hardships, we all get to learn to do something better next time. Going through the easy way may be easy at the time but, as a result, it wont give us any benefits later on.

I agree with you too. I think that when we go through hard things and gain something, we appreciate what we gained way more than we would have if we got it easily. You can learn to enjoy the small things through experiencing tough times.

Yeah obviously we go around the difficult way since we could gain something out of it. There are many examples but one of it would be AP classes. Even though I only take one AP class, I am struggling in this class but I don't regret taking it. I could have take regular classes but I'm taking this to challenge myself and of course to look good on college app. I think its worth it even though my grades are low. Without a challenging class, it would be boring. I learn that I'm way behind my colleagues and when I see juniors in that class studying hard I feel like..what have I been doing last year..I think its a good motivation to make me work harder. I think everyone grows up and become mature by experiencing something a hard time in their life.

its true, theres no point of living your life if its just fine, no upside down. and i think because of our hard times, we could more appreciate our good times. and also, because we could get through many problems in our life, it makes ourselves stronger and wiser hehe.

Shot cut is good if it is a real short cut. Sometimes the short cut could be a way of hell and sometimes it is a way of heaven. But the "decision" is the process of short cut. If you make the decision that decision has benefits and outcomes. If that outcome makes you take less time and makes life easier that it would be a short cut.

I think that having an easy life, with the short cut, has both advantage and disadvantage. Advantage, obviously, would be that it is much more comfortable for us, as lazy as we are, to get things done without effort and hard work. But on the other hand, having an easy life without risking anything, would not only be boring and dull, but also people would not gain any experience or lesson out of it. When I read the story of Genesis, this story makes me think that God kicked Adam and Eve out of the garden of Eden, in order to teach them in a hard way, so they can really learn out for a true life.

Well for sure, everyone looks for the easy way to achieve their goals or to fullfill their needs and wants. And as it is called the "easy way" so obviously you dont get to spend as much time in working harder to get things right. Therefore, you dont get to realize the lesson that you would be getting out of it due to limited time. Whereas, when you spend hours in working hard to achieve something, the more time is available for you to learn a lesson and feel good about it.

I think it is human nature to try and find the easy way. If it wasn't, I think that we would still be writing letters to each other and like running to each others houses to deliver them. I don't think that looking for the easy way is necessarily a bad thing, because it causes many of the developments in technology. But yes, I guess that the hard way can teach one something, in reference to a person's life. It is only through struggle and hardship can a person learn more rapidly.
