There is a saying called "adversity evokes character," which basically means that difficult situations and times stimulates certain aspects of our personality, and I think that taking the simple way is convenient at times but we don't get anything out of it, as the quote says that difficult times will only bring out character. So, yes, I agree with you that taking the hard way is quite beneficial at times.

I agree with Elijah that taking easy way is not always bad and sometimes it brings a better outcome like technology developments. However, I believe that developments in technology could also be a result of great efforts that the people went through. If everyone just wanted easy life without any efforts, out world would still be the same as 50years ago.

I think in Adam and Eve's case, it's not a matter of learning new things or getting more experience. They basically lost the chance to have a personal, direct relationship with God, and that's sad. They could've enjoyed eternal enjoyment and pleasure with God. And God wanted them to enjoy those privileges to the fullest extent. He didn't want His own people to suffer. But Adam and Eve chose to refuse that opportunity to enjoy everything that God wanted them to have. Even in our lives, I think if we have the chance to get something in a easier and faster way, we should choose that. It'd be a waste of time and energy if we were to choose the harder way just so that we can "gain experience".

Going to easy way is always mush more comfortable and is without risks. However, going through difficult times really give us experiences and lessons on life that we can never learn from anywhere else. And these experiences all become part of us and later could help us go through another situation in life.

We all as a human wants to take a shortcut, we all wants to get something instantly. Based on my experience, if you decided to take a shortcut, you will learn nothing. For instance, you copy someone else's homework, and when you take the real test which your life depends on it, you will fail.

well, adam had done somthing wrong and he is punished for that so he might learn new lesson, like we say we learn from our mistakes, we have to make mistakes and face the consegquences so we dont do it anymore in the future

I agree with you too. Achieving things easily prevents us from truly apreciating what we earned since we begin to take things for granted. However in the process of acheving things hardly, we earn valuable lessons.

I guess easy way is better than hard way but through easy way i guess you can't really learn that much than the hard way. And if you do it in hard way after the feeling you gain that you actually have done it makes you more happy and gives you strenght. That is what i personally think.

Yea I agree that it's only natural to go the shortcut or easy way in life. In my opinion, going the difficult or hard way is the better choice in life because you learn from the adversities. Plus you get more joy and pride at what you've accomplished.

Yes, I agree with you. The easy way is much more comfortable but hardships help us gain more knowledge and experience. For example, many students do not play any sports because that is the easy way. They don't have to go through pain, commit a lot of time, and be scolded. However, playing sports can improve your health, release your stress, and help you meet new people. For me, even though it is hard to balance sports and school work, I still do it because there are benefits from playing sports.

I don't think that Adam and Eve ate the fruit to get everything the easy way. They were just curious and they just wanted to be like God. They didn't really think about getting a shortcut in life. However, to answer your question, I think doing everything the easy way is what people do. We can't really help it. We always want to do things quicker and more comfortable for us. Nevertheless, I agree with you that sometimes doing things hard way will be more beneficial to us.

I think both taking a shortcut and going through difficulty can make us learn better. By developing a method for shortcut, we learn how to efficient and use our time for more important causes. Some experiences are just tedious without any values, and shortcut is necessary for these. Meanwhile, going through adversity can make us learn some good lessons. It can help us to examine our weaknesses and strengths ourselves. It also makes you feel more accomplished later. So, I think deciding to use either shortcut or not is really important.

I have always been a lazy bum, trying to take the most shortest possible way to accomplish something I desire. But you kinda make mistakes more often rather than being patient and make your way up through the difficult way. You also don't learn anything valuable that might come in handy later on and you just keep on redoing the same mistake over and over again. Humans do make mistakes but if you try to go through all the possible ways and knowing what you really are doing, you might end up of being successful rather than being a lazy bum.
