Honestly, I don't think that there will ever be complete peace. It's something nice to think about but there always will be people that are stronger and weaker. It's human nature to desire more. We are pretty greedy so I think that the stronger people would want to take advantage of their strength against the weaker people and that would lead to conflict. I hope one day, I can be proved wrong.

many generations have passed that seek for a world with peace but honestly this goal is hard to achieve. the world we live in is full of imperfection, meaning we have both good and bad things in it. since our world has to be balanced then there has to be both evil and non evil things surrounding us. honestly peace is something that could happen in many places but its not something that can be done worldwide.

I personally think that complete peace is possible! Statistics show that most crimes are committed by individuals of a poor backgroud, but think about it, what if we get rid of those poor backgrounds for people? If we want complete peace, we need to fix the problems that would cause it first. For example, if we did whatever to get rid of poverty or whatever else, would there be a red to commit a crime? if we make this world a better place, then why would people feel the need to steal something or mudur someone or rape someone, right? Yeah..i think that the internal micro level problems should be fixed first and then perfect peace is accomplishable!

I don't believe the world can be in complete peace because everyone chases after what would benefit them, and many times those self-interests clash against each other. What I want might be something that another person wishes not to have, and that in itself causes conflict. There might be ways to minimize conflict as much as possible, but I don't think there's a way to complete peace. And I think there's more meaning in finding peace in yourself despite the fact that the world around you is in absolute chaos.

I also think it is impossible. Even when there are three close friends, there must be some argument over each other and thus there is no peace. But when we think of the "world," I think it is totally impossible to bring peace without any disagreements. It might be partially peace, but there will be no complete peace.

I don't think the world can be completely peaceful. As Ms. Boyd once mentioned if a society reaches complete peace then a higher definition of peace forms, making the society not peaceful again. Without evil it is hard for good to exist since there would be no standard. Also people always have different opinions that cause conflict. So I don't think it is possible for our wold to reach complete peace.

I don't think COMPLETE peace. There's always something going on. But if you mean in a macro sense, then yes. It might not be in our generation, but I believe it can happen. It's probably when people start realizing that war is pointless. Probably when we run out of oil (:

I also believe it's impossible to have a complete peace in our world. Everyone has different personalities and characteristics and so we cannot avoid having different opinions or getting into conflicts in our daily lives. While I think a complete peace is not possible, if everyone gives an effort to sacrifies their own selfish desires and consider others before oneself, we can at least live towards a peaceful world.

I agree that complete peace will be really difficult to achieve...living with other people creates some kinds of conflicts, and because of globalization these days, there will be more cultural and social conflicts. Because humans are naturally greedy and selfish, we cannot avoid conflicts. However, that does not mean we need to give up trying to achieve complete peace. As other people said, if there are more people like Jeremy Gilley working hard, then our society will be able to be more peaceful.

The World can't never ever be in an absolute peace. It is like comparing the world to heaven. You just cant learn anything if you haven't gone through hell and what it is like to be in that situation. And only then a person will know the difference between peace and chaos.

I do not believe that complete peace could exist, especially in the world where competition is necessary. There are some cultures or traditions in other parts of the world, in which wars and conflicts are even deemed necessary for people to survive and take control over particular resources. Since usually wars and conflicts originate from competition, in order to have complete peace, the world should be free from competition. However this is impossible because people would always compete for natural resources, since there is not enough everyone. Therefore, in order to have complete peace, there should be enough resources (food, clothing, gold, oil, etc.) for everybody in this world, so that they would not have to compete with each other.

I dont think that world can ever be in complete peace. When some parts of the world may be in peace at some point, the other will not be in peace at the same time. There will be some kind of conflict going on in different parts of the world every single time.

No, i don't think world can get into a position of having complete peace. There will always be some bad happening going on somewhere around the world while having peace at some area of the world. Complete doesn't necessarily means no wars, no violence. The term complete peace can also refer to the fact that people enjoying their lives among themselves such as among their families or friends while there's some sort of war going on or violence in their country. There are various types of definitions of peace that different people believe in. What peace means to you, might not be determining the same kind of meaning to someone else, belonging to a different culture.

I believe the day the world acheives COMPLETE peace is the day of the apocalypse (Im not religious i just know this) and the whole human race is wiped of extinction. I know this is a little extreme but my point is as long as humans exist in the world, they will cause war and violence. I guess its just a part of nature, survival and competition. I am not saying human nature itself is any way violent... I think that is just a belief...
