We have been talking about Peace at school and it was a pretty big event.
SO, do you think world can be in complete peace ? Why or why not?
If you do believe world can be in complete peace, what makes you to believe so?

I don't think the world can be in complete peace. There are major and minor conflicts everywhere. We even fight with our friends, siblings, and girlfriend/boyfriend. To be in complete peace, everyone has to think the same way or not say anything even though they disagree. And I find this impossible. I think conflicts are needed. After fighting, you can learn that you were wrong or a way to think about it on another side. You learn on how to understand and compromise with each other. Of course, wars are not good ways to fight. But if there was complete peace, we wouldn't know what "peace" is.

complete peace would be hard, and i see it as almost impossible because different people have different needs and all of us cant match their standards in what they want. It is possible but i see it as hard

I think the world reaching a complete peace would be a difficult thing to achieve. People have different opinions and as they are expressing them sometimes conflicts are created. However, I do not necessarily find those conflicts as something bad because everyone cannot always have the same opinion or idea.

I think making our world with complete peace is one of the most impossible things for humans to achieve. Each people in our society have a selfish gene in our body or mind. It will provide conflicts between people who want to take advantages of something. So people will have different opinions about an issue and will cause a conflict or unfairness for others. However, I think believing that our world will become in complete peace is very important because it might prevent some events into peaceful events.

I believe it's very difficult for the world to be in complete peace because in order to find peace, there has to be a general consenus on particular issues or events. Basically, everyone has to have same belief systems and opinions, which is impossible.

I also believe that it would be impossible to have peace in the world because every individual is born different and unque in their own way. Every individuasl have their different interpretation of their experiences, cultural background and religious beliefs added up all together which affects how they see things, everyone and everything. With all different perspectives, it is virtually impossible to see a complete peace in the world. However, still I want to believe that it is possible!

There's no way that the world be in complete peace but if we desired to make a difference, we could find a way. I mean there is a possibility to make the world a better place. Well some people have different thoughts about how we make the world a better place but I think Jeremy Gilley is doing well at what he is doing right now.

I think it's possible. We see felonies taking place one after another, and think the world is going mad. But I think we need a better understanding of what shapes criminals and other factors that slow us from achieving a peaceful planet. I know this is controversial but it's proven that majority of criminals are born from the slums and suffer under extreme poverty, which drives them to take shortcuts. So if we manage to educate them and actually give them a helping hand, I think more than half the potential criminals are already gone. People like Jeremy Gilley are fighting for this thing because it's possible and totally worth it. I just believe it all matters on each person's faith in humanity and the world. Idk..I just want to believe in this~

It is highly unlikely that the world will ever be completely peaceful. There are 7 billion people in the world who have different cultures, backgrounds, personalities, values, beliefs, etc. There is no way that they are all going to agree with one another about everything. I mean I can barely have one peaceful day with my family. How will people be peaceful with non-family members? But at least the world has become much peaceful than in the past when there was many wars such as World War I.

I think it can and it cant be. I believe it can because our cultures a slowly becoming more globalized, in other words, we are all becoming the same. We are all assimilating into one big giant culture due to the massive progress in transportation and communication. But that's a whole new other issue, the point of the world coming together is that we would share more similarities. We wouldn't have as much frontiers as we have now and there wont be a cultural barrier. But that's all assumption, there is really no way I can know something like that, but I think that if that were the case then peace could be obtainable, it wouldn't be a good thing necessarily, but there would be peace. But at the same time I have to say that it cant be possible because I think its an instinct in every animal to constantly be fighting or proving itself superior then his neighbor.

Creating a complete peace is a very difficult and a hard task to be accomplished, but I don't think its completely impossible. Look at Jeremy Gilley, the British guy who founded this Peace One Day. Everyone thought that it would be impossible to have world ceasefire day but look what he had done. He convinced all the countries and finally made a day when all the countries and groups including the terrorists agree to cause no violence. If we were able to do it for one day, which was proven to be possible, then it means that we can do it forever. It will take a lot of time but the fact that we were able to do it for one day proves that one day there will be a time when there is peace all around the world.

I don't think there ever will be complete peace. There will always be something that is wrong and unpeaceful in the world. Thats how the world works. We can try all we want to achieve complete peace but its never going to work. Its in our nature to do bad and selfish things. I know that at some point there will be a lot of peace in the world but there is never going to be perfect peace.

I also don't think that COMPLETE peace is ever possible. I feel it is almost human nature to be at conflict with one another. Complete peace means that in EVERY area there is NO conflict. That means that there are no bullies at school, no siblings bullying one another, no parents that are abusive, no fighting.... etc. etc. When we normally think of peace, we think of just no people firing guns at each other, but that is totally wrong. But, I, like Jeremy Gilley and many of the above posters that the world can be improved, and improvements and a more peaceful world is better for everyone.
