I agree with you as well. I will probably stay with Hancock as well. I think seeing someone you love will be one of the hardest things in life. I want to see Ray's reaction when he finds everything out.

Defining love is one of the most difficult thing to answer and contains biased perspective. So, if I was Ray's wife, I would rather keep on staying with him than with Hancock because I know that I have broken Hancock's heart, why break another. I've already made my decision by marrying a mortal and stay with him till he dies because that is what marriage is all about, taking care of your husband. I know that love is a strong thing, why make it more complicated.

I would stay with Hancock too if I was her. As you said, her life does seem meaningless and it seems like she's just making her life even more difficult since shes surrounding herself with people that she can't be with forever. One day thirty years from then, Ray and the little boys going to get suspicious because they're all grown up but she looks the same. I would rather just enjoy my time with Hancock and die then to live eternally without the person I love.

If I was her, rather than just staying with Ray I would have stayed with Hancock because that is the one whom you love. Also I would not want to live forever and watch my husband getting old and die. I would probably be lonely if that happens.

i honestly think that it would have been better for her to stay with hancock because like many said whats the point of life if theres no end, i mean i wouldnt want to live and love and then see all the people i love that are around me die. id rather be happy and die knowing that i did and enjoyed everything with that one person.

If I was Mary, then I might have stayed away from Hancock. I think that Mary really wanted to stay with Hancock because she loved him and still loves him. However, if she has stayed with him, not only would she die, but also Hancock would die, too. And usually you do not want your lover to die just because you were near your lover. Also in the movie, it says that Hancock was transported to hospital after an accident. Mary might have left Hancock because she did not want to Hancock to die and Hancock might recover better from the accident if Mary was not near him.

i guess its kind of meaningless since her power cannot be used while she lives with her husband. I also dont understand why she would have married a normal person when, in the end, she needs to see him dying and getting old. If I was her, I would leave Hancock if I truly didnt want him to get hurt.

Oh I did not know Mary loves Hancock...anyways, I cannot answer whether Mary leaving Hancock and living with normal person as a normal wife was meaningless because I do not know what she really valued. If she was tired of immortal life and wanted happiness by having a family, then I think it was meaningful for Mary, even though her family life would not last long and Hancock would be lonely. However, if she left Hancock for his sake, then I think marrying and living with Ray was meaningless-living with Hancock and dying with him would have been better because that would make Mary happier.

I think that she is putting the idea of efficiency to real life. If she is able to live forever then that means that she can have a different husband per century and switch on over whenever that husband dies. If she were to be Hancock, she wouldn't be immortal anymore so I think that's why she is sticking with Ray, so that when he passes away, she can just get a new husband, like how u would get a new phone after it gets old.

I personally think that there is purposes in everything. Mary loved Hancock so much that she left him alone because whenever they get together, there is always threats to Hancock or Mary. 80 years ago, Mary had experience seeing Hancock getting beaten up so much that he lost his memory. That experience might have made Mary to stay away from Hancock even though she still love him. All because Mary knows that herself and Hancock would not last long due to the threats surrounding them.

Sometimes, person who you truly love isn't a person who you necessary should spent time with time. And i think that goes to Mary and Hancock. It they stayed together, they will eventually die. We might have to go through thinks like, seeing people around you getting older and die or seeing how the world have changed over the thousands of years but i think it worth more than just dying.
