I agree with you Seongrae! Having a friend changed Hancock entirely. Before, Hancock made judgments by himself, and never belonged to anywhere. But Ray appreciated Hancock for saving his life, and invited the hero to his house. Hancock then started to learn how to interact with other people, and saw how his actions can help a lot of people. Jay had a positive influence on Hancock, and it's obvious throughout the film.

I think the thing that most influenced Hancock was Ray and his family. In the movie, Ray kept emphasizing about appeciating others and being nice to them. I know Hancock did not try to listen to Ray at first, But most of you guys said, Hancock started to change during his time in the prison. He had the time to reflect back on himself. When he actually arrived where problems were going on, I guess he might have felt to thank and appreciate others who were trying to stop the bad guys.

I think ray had a big part to play in this. I mean I think its the fact that one person actually appreciated him and stretched a hand out to him and basically told him that maybe the world isn't and full of jerks (to put it lightly). Also jail made him commit to something. It made him have a responsibility that he actually cared about and that made him want to change.

He was really trying hard to change his attitude ao he can earn some respect from the public. and after aqhile I think he felt good saying good job to the officers. His public image and his friend's convincing led him to say good jpb to the police officers

As Ray kept on telling Hancock, I think Hancock always cared about the fact that he was lonely and hated by others. But, he didn't want other people to know that he was hurting and sad so he put up the whole tough and apathetic look. When people started showing him appreciation and approval, like Ray and his son, he felt love for the first time and changed for the better instead of always hiding like he did before.

I think Ray was who influenced Hancock to change his personality. Because of him Hancock started to have a positive influence. Ray was always there to cheer for Hancock and Ray gave him trust everytime even when other people expressed hatred to Hancock. I think a single person can be a big influence on someone. Also, I think Ray's son played an important role in making Hancock to become a more positive person because he always cheered for Hancock too. He always told Hancock that he was a hero.

I don't think it was jail what changed hancock. I think one significant event or thing that changed hancock was Ray. Ray is the first civilian who actually considered hancock as a hero and treated him as his friend. Ray's attention and care changed hancock to person with humanism. And yeah, after people strating to trust him hancock strated to become more soft.

I dont think it was the jail time that helped Hancock to mature but it was the love and care that Ray gave to him. Hancock knew that Ray truthfully cared for him and it wasnt a fake. I think the power of love can do a lot such as totally change a person! Ray provided hancck with trust and assurance that Hancock isnt just some freak, but that hes also a loved person like any other normal person. The fact that Hamcock thinks hes a really bad person because no one came to claim him theirs but Ray did was so touching to Hancock. I think that no matter how much self reflecting you do, youre not gonna truely learn from it unless you have a desire to. And hancock had a desire to change because he cared for and was cared for by his fellow friend, Ray.

i think anyone who has a time to themselves, in this case Hancock being in jail for a while can help to change the way you act. another reason why Hancock's character changed throughout the movie was probably because he noticed that the guy actually cared for him and wanted what was best for him. i think i a way he felt the "love" that he didn't feel for most of his life.

I think the words that Angle said made him change a lot. Because still even when he went to the jail he can easily escape and he had free choices but he did not. The reason is because her words made him move and some kind of feelings that he felt and had to feel because they were related.

I think that Hancock began to change when he decided to go to prison. Hancock knew that no one could stop him, but he decided to go to jail anyways. The moment when he matured for real was when he felt the warmth of someone who cared when the little boy said "You're my favorite hero". He was touched and his heart was moved by that incident. So I think the jail time was a important time of growth in Hancock's life.

Hancock definitely changed and matured a lot since his stay in prison. He not only became more patient, he started to respect those around him. Rather than the environment, I believe that it encouragement from people who actually believed him and supported him made him more benign. Hancock in the beginning of the movie was really reckless and people really hated him despite the fact that he did save the day.

Yea I agree with you Stormy! With the influence of Ray, it's portrayed through the movie that Hancock matured and really changed.

I also agree with all of you. I think he learned a bit while he was in jail. Ray have helped him a lot. If he didnt go into jail i think he wouldnt even end up like what he did. He might have just stayed as who he was, waking up every morning hating the world. Ray played a really important role in Hancock's life for letting Hancock know how to appreciate people and love
