Shakespeare is a very good poetic writer or etc. But his play that he wrote has some many meanings, explanations, views, connections, and so on.
But my questions are Why did Shakespeare specifically chose Hamlet and make a dozen connections to their culture. What could trigger the use of the Greek cultures and apply it hamlet.
My thoughts could be that visited Greece and learn their culture and history and their education. Which he used and apply it on his literature or play or poem. The trigger of him using these cultures could be that he thought about it and decides that it would make a fine play such as hamlet.

I think Shakespeare connected Greek culture with a lot of his works, not only Hamlet. During Shakespeare's time, learning Greek culture was important because many great comedies, tragedies, and poetry originated from Greece. I guess European culture and government were also based on ancient Greek ones. Shakespeare wrote plays for aristocrats, who must have learned Greek culture, and to make his works more sophisticated, he made many Greek allusions. It would not have been difficult to allude since Greek mythology deals with various human emotions and events.

I don’t think Shakespeare specifically chose Hamlet to connect with other cultures. I think in many of the Shakespeare’s work, there were also many connections and meanings connecting to other cultures. The reason why Shakespeare chose Greek cultures to connect to hamlet is because at that time, Greek cultures were popular and spread many other cultures or countries. Maybe, he learned Greek culture and found that it can be connected in many ways.

I think that he chose Greek mythlogy or culture because Greek culture was and still is generally VERY famous. I personally think that Greek myth allusions, references, or connections are very emphasizing because it really shows character in the literature. Also, the fact that Greek myth is so famous really makes it convenient for literature as well. At that time, I guess many were pretty aware and knowledgeable aboput Greek myth, and perhaps that's why he decided to use those references.

Shakespeare made a lot of connection to the culture in Hamlet and many other plays because it is easier for people, who are going to watch them, to connect to the setting and characters of the play. And it seems that during Shakespeare's time, Greek culture and art were regarded highly in England since Renaissance was happening and could not have happened if it was not for the rediscovery of Ancient Greek culture, art and architecture.

Well, during that time period, Greek culture was highly prominent and well known. So, it must have been relatively easy to apply Greek culture to Hamlet, and many other plays written by Shakespeare.

Shakespeare makes connections to the greek culture in most of his literatures including Hamlet. The reason why is that the greek culture had a lot of influence in society when Hamlet was written. Therefore it is better to say that the Greek culture was naturally reflected in Hamlet rather than to say Shakespeare intensionally depicted the greek culture.

I think he chose hamlet because hamlet contains lots of different point of view and deep meaning and by expressing that's intention through Egypt culture, it is easy and interest for people to understand.

I don't think Shakespeare was deliberately trying to make a lot of connections to his own culture. He knew the best about his culture and I think the way the characters talk, what they do, what they dress, etc. all just reflected what he was used to seeing/doing in real life. So it's not that he specifically chose Hamlet to talk about his culture. Whatever he wrote must have had something to do with the culture he was used to seeing on a daily basis (like Greek stuff).

I think it's becaues the Greek culture was very well known at that time, and is still well known today. It would be better to use the famous story connection than to just use random anecdote I only know. And I also noticed that he used Greek connections to many other pieces(such as Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth) as well.

It's probably because Greek culture is so prominent and something that Shakespeare probably knew a lot about. He probably wrote connections to Greek culture the most because he's most familiar with that culture compared to other ones.

Greek mythology culture is STILL very famous. It's considered one of the most classic novels of all times, especially in the western highschool education departments. It'd be criminal for a western highschool or an international school to NOT go over at least one or two Greek mythology in English class. So, you can imagine, how famous it must've been back then.

I don't think his purpose of writing Hamlet was to connect it with Greek culture. But anyways, Greek culture was well known in that time period for their myth and stories so he was able to apply it in his stories.

Well, from the little that I know, Shakespeare was during the Renaissance right? A lot of art back then was influenced by Greek mythology and culture so that could be a factor. I believe he uses alludes to Greek cultures in his other works too.

i think it was mostly due to him knowing and being around greek culture. its like when you are used to being around stuff that you like or live with, you tend to follow that or talk about it.
