We get excited because they are so different and it looks amazing to us since we don't have such abilities. Also we get excited at the possibility of "what if". It makes us wonder more. I think this element helps us fanatasize about heros even more. Furthermore I think we get excited since we want those abilities but can't have them. I think there is a little mix of jealousy in our excitement of heros.

We proably get excited with this because supernatural beings are something not in reality. We could see it only through books or movies and superheroes do what we can't do. They could fly and fight well, save people and do what they want to do. Eversince there were movies or books about superheroes, they are portrayed as "good" like Gina is saying. I think this made us want to be like them.

I think the thing that interests most of the people is the super powers. I was also excited about these powers when I was a kid. I used to act as one of the heros in the movie. I was so fascinated that I almost thought I became one of them. I felt like I could defeat any kind of creatures and bad guys that used to come out in the movies. I think by thinking of super powers makes you feel courageous

Humans always want to do the impossible things and having these superpowers help you to accomplish the impossible. This is what makes them unique, amazing and why we love them. For example, Goku of Dragonball saga. I've a been a big fan of him as far as I can remember. His physique with super power strength and energy he possesses is simply AWESOME. His sparkly blonde hair and green eyes when he turns into Supersaiyan. Man, this guy's Super. And with these great power, he fought evil for good of all innocent mankind. What more can I say?

I think people like seeing supernatural beings because they have powers and characteristics that humans cannot have. Therefore, people think their powers are cool and sometimes want to have them. For example, when I watched the movie Hancock, I wanted to have the power to fly just like Hancock. If I have the power to fly, I would be able to go to different places in a very short time.

This is a question that really got me thinking and I think that the reason why people are fascinated with the super natural or extraordinary is because it most of the times reflects our culture and traits within out culture. For example Gilgamesh. Now that we analyzed Gilgamesh in class we know what Gilgamesh represents, we know who he is, his traits and his powers, and we also learned that we learned a lot about Mesopotamian culture, through the story portrayed in this epic tablet. Well Gilgamesh represents strength, resilience, bravery and ambition. All this is represented through a male king in a Patriarchal culture. Now Gilgamesh changes towards the end and becomes more merciful and wise, obviously representing a good king. Now if people actually read this stories then they would read and absorb those traits. The element of superpowers I think is just a way to make it interesting.
This happens today with for example Cpt. America. What does Cpt America represent? Well the archetype for the perfect soldier and the traits to an exceptional citizen in the American Society. But he also represents the government and the trust we have in it, sort of symbolizing the security of the government. And to make the guy more interesting we add powers. Spider Man for example, is someone who got his power from the bite of a radioactive spider. ,but this was the old version, the newer version has spider man bitten by a Genetically modified spider. Why does this matter? well because it just so happens that those two version were written at different times when alternative energy plans were being introduced (aka Nuclear energy and Genetically modified products). Those two things would represent out culture.

i believe that the reaosn why super power stuff gets our attention really easily is because its interesing to watch something that is made up, something that we know doesnt exist and cant be done. i mean you can imagine many thigns whilr watching movies or reading books like that so its fun to play around with your brain.

Superheroes are different from us, and usually stronger, better, and more powerful than we, humans, are. Most of the time, people need these superheroes throughout the bad time, even though they do not really exist as supernatural beings, because superheroes are mostly seen as optimistic and unconquerable, no matter what troubles they go through. And people want to rely on those figures, and maybe see them as their "idols." Also superheroes have the power to teach basic morals and lessons to children. Children want to become like them, and unintentionally learn the difference between good and bad. Also those supernatural characteristics of those heroes distract them from their stressful daily lives.

Superheroes are simply awesome, there's no reason that you hate them for or wont get excited for. Well, this whole concept of superheroes belongs to the genre of fantasy. Sometimes, we do want to get out of the world that we live in and start imagining a total different world that has all sorts of stuff not present in our world. We do this when we get bored of living our normal life, when we want to step out of our robotic routine. Supernatural power is one of the examples in this case. it fascinates us too much that we really get involved in it, even though it does not even exist.

I think it is because we, human, cannot obtain it. Because it is impossible in the reality, we start imagining us being a superhero. And because we all have dreamed about it at least once, we love to watch those stories, and thus more of those movies are keep coming out.

Humans in general have a tendency to be awed with beings that are radically different from them. I guess it is similar to seeing an alien. We literally pee our pants when we see aliens, I guess the same goes for superheroes who have abilities that no other average person can ever have in their lifetimes.

Most of the people like movies that have a super hero as a main character. People like it because the movie shows the ability that most people dreamed of. When they saw the movie they will first think as awesome when the superhero uses his or her ability. So I think the awesome powers and people¡¯s interest makes people to watch superhero movie.

Because we're boring! Everything we have in life has to be worked for but superheroes essentially have powers handed to them. I think it fascinates us when we see that those superheroes use their powers for good and do awesome things. It's all good fun.
