Hey guys So this really doesnt have to do with english but you know during homeroom, we do this breathing exercise, right? Do you guys think breathing helps us clear our minds and help us do better with our studies? I think that it helps relax me. Usually when I'm under hard situations, I find myself needing to take deep breaths to either push back tears or restrain from potentially hurting someone.. So yeah, I think it helps

Hahahahahaha Oh Sarah.. I personally think it doesn't make a huge difference. It rather distracts me from class, and sometimes makes me forget all the stuffs I memorized for my test. Maybe I'm still not used to it.. I've never understood those yoga people who find breathing so helpful. I think it depends on the person!

Honestly speaking, breathing exercise is useless. It does not make any difference but it only provide stress on students. Because of home room, students feel like there is an extra class. If we want to make home room successful or meaningful, school better come up with something better.

I agree with you sarah, it helps me relax too. Today you took us out on that walk through the park and it really helped me relax even more. The mindful smelling of nature and trees really helped me just get rid of the stresses of the oncoming day. You should take us out on more trips to the park

I agree with Stormy and Alex. I think it's useless.. and I don't see any difference in my academic results. According to the "definition", it should make me feel better/ do better during the whole day. But I still feel the same exhaustion in the afternoon so I don't see any difference.

I think breathing exercise is useless too. Sometimes even when we breathe, there are some people making breathing sounds while they breathe. So, it doesn¡¯t really make huge difference because the sounds distract me to concentrate on my own breathing. However, today when we walk and breathed outside at the park, it was different. I got more relaxed in the morning.

I do that too! When I get really mad at a person or a certain situation, I have to take deep breaths because if I don't, I would probably go up that person and be really mean. We don't do breathing exercises that often in our homeroom, so I'm not really sure if it helps me with my daily stress level. I don't think it helped relieve my stress when I did it though. I think it adds on to my stress. Or it just makes me want to go to sleep. I don't think homeroom breathing exercises made me become more aware of the way I breathe. But I agree that taking deep breaths can really help you control your temper.

I used to love the time of doing mind-up because it delayed few minutes of the class time. So, mind-up isn't bad. But for the recent weeks, English class didn't do it anymore...

I usually do that every time we have an english presentation that always makes me feel nervous. it calms down the nervous system in my body and makes me little bit chill...

well it should.... If not, there is not point of doing it hahaha It helps for me because it kind of fresh my mind and focus on things better than before I guess. For me, I also think that just laying down helps me to fresh my mind as well because my blood could flow better than when I'm sitting down or standing up. It just what I think

Well i think to me breathing does not help me because im just breathing and breathing is something that we do every single day and ever since we were born. so it does not help me at all. i think its just a waste of time. every morning i breath and its should keep my focus and relax but it makes me even more sleepy and i would actually sleep in class.

well im personally think that breathing could really help my emotion. like when i was upset or stress, taking a deep breath and close my eyes could really help me. im not gonna explode and just follow my anger. i could think more clearly, look at the bright side rather on the dark side. but the problem is, the meditation thing in our homeroom didnt affect anything on me haha, im still always tired, my mind couldnt stop thinking about "home....bed...sleep...good food" during at school. am i the only one who thinks that homeroom is useless? im sorry mr edward, i love you.
